Prenatal Education Series

BECAUSE GIVING BIRTH SHOULD BE YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT, NOT YOUR GREATEST FEAR.

As a Labour, Delivery and Postpartum Registered Nurse I understand there is no on-size-fits-all when it comes to thriving in your third trimester, through your labour and the birth of your baby.

Moving beyond the overwhelm and confusion of social media, Dr. Google, and our own parents' experience to give you the most up-to-date, evidence based information from perineal massage to delayed cord clamping and everything in between. Through my professional expertise and experience, I will ensure no question goes unanswered and that you feel supported the whole way through in creating your most positive birth experience.

Prenatal Breastfeeding Class

DESIGNED TO PREPARE AND EMPOWER YOU WHILE ANSWERING THE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS, INCLUDING THE ONES YOU DIDN'T THINK TO ASK.
While breastfeeding may be termed a natural way to feed our babies, as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant I know that for many mothers it rarely feels this way initially. We will work our way through from breast anatomy and the understanding of milk production, to hand expression, colostrum collection, achieving a pain free latch and navigating the most common challenges encountered, along with how to overcome them.

No matter how you choose to feed your baby, I'm here to educate, support and guide you every step of the way.

Preparing for Postpartum Class

BECAUSE PARENTING IS THE EASIEST THING IN THE WORLD TO HAVE AN OPINION ABOUT BUT THE HARDEST THING IN THE WORLD TO DO.

The time as you begin your own recovery from birth; physically, emotionally and mentally while you and your partner transition into parenthood with this new, tiny human. From DIY ice pads for your perineum to the emotional, mental, and physical transformations your body will be moving through. Along with what you can expect for your baby's sleep and awake patterns and soothing techniques for your tiny human.

Reduce feelings of anxiety and fear alongside your partner by becoming confident in your ability to recognize, for both yourself and for your baby, what is 'normal' and what signs warrant follow-up.

We will work our way through every possible option available to you: from choosing a pump, what to pack in your work bag, introducing a bottle, choosing a caregiver, and the questions to ask your manager before your return.

Infant Health & Safety

Set your mind at ease by knowing what you might need, before you need it. With a focus on safety measures, accident prevention, basic infant first-aid, CPR and choking. We will move through our DIY Infant First-Aid Kit List, covering what essentials that anyone with an infant should have on hand in-home and on-the-go.

Great for expectant or new parents, grandparents or anyone who might be spending time with your baby. This course will teach you basic first-aid and CPR skills to be used on your own child, in your own home with no certification awarded at the end of class.

BEING A PARENT IS LEARNING ABOUT STRENGTHS YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU HAD AND DEALING WITH FEARS YOU DIDN'T KNOW EXISTED.
